Anyways, this week was a pretty interesting week. One particular reason was the Elton John/Vladimir Putin news story. In case you missed it, here's what went down:
- This weekend at a Ukranian conference Elton John said he would like to meet Putin to discuss LGBT rights in Russia.
- On Monday Elton John posted a thank-you message on Instagram to Putin for giving him a call.
- The next day the Kremlin made a statement saying that the call never happened.
- On Wednesday it was revealed that the supposed "call from Putin" was actually a PRANK CALL from two Russian comedians/talk show hosts named "Vovan and Lexus."
- The next day Elton John responded, saying: "If this unfortunate incident has helped push this vital issue back into the spotlight, then I am happy to be pranked on this occasion."
